Congratulations on choosing to deploy AppsAnywhere Analytics in your environment. You will soon have access to everything you need to know about your software delivery environment. In this article, we will summarise the main steps for deploying AppsAnywhere Analytics in your environment.

Deploying AppsAnywhere Analytics is a relatively simple process and the AppsAnywhere implementations team will help you through the whole process. The AppsAnywhere Analytics server is delivered as a virtual appliance, and must be imported into your environment and spin up as a new server but once that is done, the AppsAnywhere team will take over and get everything configured and link it up to your AppsAnywhere instance. You will then be free to start exploring your data (once you have some) and the documentation later in this section will walk you through exactly how everything works. For now, read through this article to get an idea for how the whole process will work.

Before you start

The first step is to carefully review the System Requirements article. This details exactly what you need to set up to be ready for Analytics to be deployed, including database requirements, server requirements and licensing for Analytics itself.

Importing the Virtual Appliance

When it comes to deploying AppsAnywhere Analytics into your environment, the AppsAnywhere implementations team will direct you to the latest download links for the virtual appliance. We provide the virtual appliance in two formats; OVA format for VMware vSphere hypervisors and VDMK disk format for Hyper-V hypervisors.

We presume you (or your server admins) will be familiar with importing a virtual appliance into your environment, but if you need any guidance there's an article to quickly walk you through this process for each of those hypervisors:

The latest download links for the virtual appliances will be provided once you submit a request to AppsAnywhere Support.

First-time Configuration

Once your appliance is up and running, there are a few additional first-time configuration steps which you will need to complete, via the built-in Appliance Configuration Console. These include the network configuration of the appliance and enabling SSH access.

Details of the first-time configuration options and requirements can be in the following article:
