Connecting to Jamf Pro

Overview

Jamf Pro is an excellent tool for managing an estate of managed macOS devices and offers a great feature-set of functionality for deploying resources to those devices, both automatically and on-demand. AppsAnywhere can be linked to multiple Jamf Pro environments, if required, and both internal and cloud instances of Jamf Pro are supported.

This section will take you through all the functionality relating to linking AppsAnywhere to your Jamf Pro environment.

  1. Viewing Jamf Pro Environments

  2. Adding a Jamf Pro Environment

  3. Editing a Jamf Pro Environment

  4. Deleting a Jamf Pro Environment

Authentication

AppsAnywhere 3.2 and above will use Bearer Token authentication when communicating with Jamf Pro version 10.35.0 and above.

No reconfiguration is required, AppsAnywhere will automatically detect the version of Jamf Pro and switch to Bearer Tokens. For older Jamf Pro versions, Basic authentication will be used.
