Creating an application
Overview
Applications are the core concept around which everything revolves in AppsAnywhere. In this section, we take a look through all the elements of defining, managing and delivering applications to end users.
When compared with other technologies, AppsAnywhere takes a very different approach when it comes to defining applications. Rather than treating an application as a physical entity which can be delivered to an end user by a particular means, AppsAnywhere takes a very high-level view and defines an "application" only by its meta data; such as its title, icon, a short description and a few other bits of basic information. The means by which that application can then be delivered to a user are then defined at a later stage. AppsAnywhere then allows you to grant access to an application at this top level, giving a user access to the application regardless of how you choose to deliver it.
This section of the documentation will take you through the process of creating the top level application view, adding an icon, defining all available delivery methods and dealing with delivery method priorities.
